The journey begins in Kavala, and we follow in Apostle Paul's footsteps from north to south in Greece and visit Philippi, Thessaloniki, Athens, and Corinth. En route, we also visit some of the places that were important in ancient Greece, primarily Delphi. And we will follow church history after Apostle Paul - especially through visits to Byzantine churches and monasteries in Thessaloniki, Meteora, and Ossios Loukas.
Day 1. Thessaloniki - Kalava
Upon arrival at Thessaloniki airport meet your English-speaking guide an private bus driver, who will be with you throughout your whole stay. Bus transfer to the city of Kalava.
Dinner and overnight in Kavala.
Day 2. Kavala – Filippi- Thessaloniki
After breakfast departure for Filippi, the city in eastern Makedonia, established by Philip II in 356 BC and abandoned in the 14th century after the Ottoman conquest. Visiting the archaeological site, lunch in a traditional tavern.
Afternoon arrival to Thessaloniki for dinner and overnight.
Day 3. Thessaloniki – Kalambaka
After breakfast departure for Sightseeing in Thessaloniki and visit Agios Dimitrios and Agia Sofia churches. The journey continues toward the city of Kalambaka. On the way to Kalambaka visit the Prodromou nunnery.
Afternoon arrival to Kalambaka for dinner and overnight.
Day 4. Kalambaka – Meteora – Delphi
After breakfast departure for the Meteora monasteries. We vill visit 2 of the monasteries.
Nice landscapes will be around us on the way to Delphi where we will arrive afternoon.
Dinner and overnight in Delph.
Day 5. Delfi – Ossios Lucas - Athens
After breakfast early departure from the hotel. We will visit Delphi archeological site and museum. Further on to Ossios Lucas Byzantine church. Afterward departure for Athens
Overnight in Athens
Day 6. Athens
After breakfast departure for Athens sightseeing and visit Acropolis hill.
Afternoon free disposal
Overnight in Athens.
Day 7. Athens - Corinth – Nemea – Epidaurus – Athens
After breakfast depart for the Argolis tour. We will have our first coffee break by the Corinth Canal after one hour’s drive. Tour continues to Ancient Corinth, where Apostle Pauls’ was living for a couple of years. In Nemea, we will have a winery visit with wine tasting. Through Nauplion further on to Epidaurus Theater and early evening back to Athens.
Ware fell dinner and overnight in Athens.
Day 8. Departure
Departure transfer to the airport
